American blues singer and guitarist Nathan Beauregard is photographed at the age of 106 while waiting to perform at the Memphis Country Blues Festival in June of 1969. Born blind, Beauregard learned to play the banjo to support himself before taking up guitar and becoming a blues musician years later.
