Frank Zappa poses for a portrait in the editing room of his Laurel Canyon home on March 25, 1972. Frequently referred to as the "Log Cabin", the home was later sold to Lady Gaga after the singer's death in 1993 and then to Elizabeth Jagger, daughter of famed musician Mick Jagger.

About the Artist

Photographer and art director Ed Caraeff has worked with, photographed, designed, and art directed hundreds of album covers.  His ground-breaking photo of Jimi Hendrix burning his guitar on-stage at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, when Caraeff was just seventeen, is widely considered to be one of the most iconic rock photos of all-time and is the only photo ever to appear twice on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
