Keith Richards

On December 18th, Keith Richards, guitarist and founding member of the Rolling Stones, turns 80. Richards' legendary 61-year career with the Stones and endless escapades both on and off the stage have kept photographers busy through the years.


A rich visual history of Richards’ career can be found in the Iconic Images archive, beginning with Terry O’Neill’s 1964 shots of him stalking Soho and Covent Garden with his bandmates, through Gered Mankowitz’s studio photography of ‘66 and ‘67, all the way up to Douglas Kirkland’s 1980s images of Richards in Mexico and Greg Brennan’s raucous shots of him playing Hyde Park in 2013.
