About the Artist

George Rodger was a pioneering photographer who garnered world-wide recognition for his work and for his founding of the Magnum agency in partnership with his friends Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson. A self-taught photographer Rodger is most well known for his photographs documenting major wars and diverse communities across Africa, the Middle East and the Far East.
