Soul singer PP Arnold is photographed during a shoot that would birth the cover image for her 1968 album Kafunta. At the time, Mankowitz was working at Immediate Records, where he was encouraged "to experiment and push [his] boundaries" under the leadership of the label's founder Andrew Loog Oldham.
