Ringo Starr outside Downing Street, 1965 — Limited Edition Print
Smoking a giant cigar, Beatles drummer Ringo Starr is photographed making a peace sign outside 10 Downing Street in London circa 1965. He and his band would go on to be regarded as the most influential musicians of all time and prove integral to the development of 1960s counterculture and popular music's recognition as an art form.
- Edition of 50
- Digitally signed and embossed on the front, stamped and authenticated on the reverse by a representation of the Terry O'Neill archive
- C-Type Print
A digital c-type is a photographic print, on light-sensitive paper, that has been exposed using digital technology, rather than traditional analogue (otherwise known as ‘darkroom’) techniques.
Digital c-types are created by exposing the paper using lasers or LEDs rather than a bulb, like in a darkroom. The second part of the traditional process is much the same however: the paper is processed in a photographic developer, followed by bleach fix before being washed to remove the processing chemicals.
