The Legend of Frenchie King in Spain in 1971. Taken as part of a three-part series O'Neill was doing on Bardot, the image captures the bombshell in her role as an outlaw in search of oil complete with leather pants and a holstered gun.

Pete Townshend of The Who kneels on stage as he smashes his Sunburst Fender Stratocaster while performing My Generation at the Opera House in Peoria, Illinois in 1967. Townshend was known for destroying his guitars on stage. It is estimated he broke over 35 guitars in 1967 alone.

Slick was one of the earliest female rock stars alongside her close contemporary Janis Joplin and was a key figure in San Francisco's early psychedelic music scene in the mid-1960s.

Antonio Lopez is photographed filming Jerry Hall at Dunn’s River Falls in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Hall wears a bikini from Electric Fittings with Saint Laurent Rive Gauche jewels for the British Vogue magazine shoot in May of 1975.

Ella Fitzgerald performs on Ken Nordine's show in Chicago in 1961. Often referred to as the First Lady of Song, Queen of Jazz, and Lady Ella, Fitzgerald was the first African American woman to win a Grammy Award and collected an astounding 14 over the course of her career.

Roger Moore is photographed as the famed British Secret Service agent James Bond. He was the lead in seven Bond features and O'Neill recalls going to the set of Live and Let Die thinking he would "go take photos of Roger Moore, but [he] came out knowing that [he] just took photos of James Bond.”

Actress Raquel Welch in a photo conceived by photographer Terry O'Neill after Welch noted that she was afraid that the press would "crucify" her for her film choices, taken on the Fox Lot in the late 1960s. Originally deemed too scandalous for promotional use at the time, the photo wasn't published until 30 years later, on the cover of The Sunday Times magazine, and is now one of O'Neill's most iconic and collected works.

John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie is photographed playing the trumpet on Ken Nordine's jazz TV show in Chicago in 1961. Gillespie's combination of musicianship, showmanship, and wit made him a leading popularizer of the new music called bebop and one of the greatest jazz trumpeters of all time.

John Fogerty, lead singer and guitarist of Creedence Clearwater Revival, is photographed performing with the band at the Oakland Coliseum Arena in California in 1970. The show would be recorded and released as an album years later, becoming known as The Concert.
